Store owner replied: Merci, Su Linn!!

My primary age students love the body break and routines of these 5 Danse en Action videos. I use at least 1 almost every day. Great for my students new to French, and those who have been doing it for a few years.

La danse en action! is a very valuable tool in the classroom. It is a great way to give the students a quick movement break while also reinforcing key vocabulary and gestures.

Store owner replied: Thank you, Mathieu! We are so glad that you and your students enjoy ¡La danse en action!

While this set of dances are not necessarily required to teach French with AIM, my students would disagree! These 5 dance routines are engaging and cement the understanding of "Les Contraires" so well! They are wonderful as movement breaks for your class or a treat for working hard. While I use them with my grades 3-6 classes often and have near 100 percent participation in some form (you have to do it too!) with my grades 7 & 8 classes I like to change up the welcome music videos in my classroom and I find they love an optional dance party when it isn't the teachers idea. A wonderful resource that creates a standard for fun in your classroom!

We solve many of the challenges language teachers face.

Learn about some of the challenges Primary School Teachers face when teaching languages.

The Gesture Approach

The AIM is a methodology that supports students by providing strategies and techniques that ensure student language acquisition and a high level of engagement. The Gesture Approach allows students to visualize, hear, say and 'feel' the language simultaneously, and this results in rapid proficiency development.

A Literacy- and Arts-Based Approach

Through the use of story and drama, songs, raps, and dances, students are moving to the language as they create meaning. Scaffolding and cooperative learning strategies help all students - the shy, weak, and strong - to find great support and success.

High-Frequency Vocabulary

One of the most essential aspects of AIM that ensures student success is the high-frequency vocabulary (Pared-Down Language) that threads throughout every aspect of this methodology. AIM is designed such that each word is repeated extensively, allowing students to develop a strong foundation for language proficiency.
