Live Online with Wendy Maxwell.  Wendy is the creator and lead author of the AIM Methodology and language programs.

Target Audience: You are a World Language Teacher of French, Spanish, English, Mandarin or Japanese looking to transform language acquisition in your classroom.  We invite you to this Free Online Information session that will give you a general overview of the AIM methodology, and introduce you to a new way of teaching.

The Accelerative Integrated Methodology (AIM) brings true transformation to the experience of teaching and learning languages. Through the use of high-frequency vocabulary – introduced with gestures and contextualized in drama, stories, songs and dance – AIM students rapidly achieve a working proficiency in the target language in less than 100 hours of classroom instruction!

I enjoyed attending the free webinar about AIM with Wendy Maxwell last week. I attended a training in Toronto 13 years ago and I am interested in being trained again in the AIM methods. I believe AIM is a great way to help students learn Spanish quickly and enthusiastically. -- Thanks for your time, Wendy! Looking forward to finding out more how I can use AIM at my school.

I loved it! I asked my admin the next day for permission to go, and signed up for the in-person training session in Winnipeg on Oct 3/4 a few weeks ago. The only regret is that I am only now learning about AIM, after teaching Immersion for nearly 30 years! I really appreciate that Wendy made the introduction video available for my colleagues as well; I'm hoping to share it with at least one of them this spring. Thank you! Can't wait to get started!

We solve many of the challenges language teachers face.

Learn about some of the challenges Primary School Teachers face when teaching languages.

The Gesture Approach

The AIM is a methodology that supports students by providing strategies and techniques that ensure student language acquisition and a high level of engagement. The Gesture Approach allows students to visualize, hear, say and 'feel' the language simultaneously, and this results in rapid proficiency development.

A Literacy- and Arts-Based Approach

Through the use of story and drama, songs, raps, and dances, students are moving to the language as they create meaning. Scaffolding and cooperative learning strategies help all students - the shy, weak, and strong - to find great support and success.

High-Frequency Vocabulary

One of the most essential aspects of AIM that ensures student success is the high-frequency vocabulary (Pared-Down Language) that threads throughout every aspect of this methodology. AIM is designed such that each word is repeated extensively, allowing students to develop a strong foundation for language proficiency.
