Here is a cute song from Alain le Lait (Soyons Amis) to practice some expressions avec avoir:

Here is the album that you can download from the internet:

(I teach these expressions with the play Boucles Violettes since she says "J'ai faim!" and at the end of the play, she says "J'ai peur des ours!")

This is a cute and simple song.
I had never heard of this artist. We also use the expressions j'ai faim et j'ai soif all day. This is a good simple song to reinforce those expressions. I love the visuals. I think the kids will ask for this one again after seeing the images. Your Superhéros ppt is one the kids ask for every single class - and the only reason I taught it was because I loved your slide show and thought they would too!
"A picture is worth a thousand words." is so appropriate in our French classes. When the French words are associated with carefully-selected images - the learning of the vocabulary in the music is so much more effective than the music alone. The Power Point slide shows are a powerful tool in our FSL programs. Anyone who is wondering if setting up a projector or a portable SMARTboard is worth the trouble - it is! (Although, it's not that much trouble once you learn how.)

Thanks again Sylvia.

I totally agree with you, Karen. My students are so taken with singing with powerpoints, they could do it all class long. And they're learning so much vocabulary, too!

and yes I am working on a way of saving it as a file you can access when you don't have the internet.... I have a few YouTube videos I am working on subtitles for but it's very time-consuming. This one was easy because it's so short.

It's a website called Overstream but it takes AGES - literally you have to stop and start the video each time you want the subtitles to appear etc....
